We’ve places still available, so if you be been holding off, now’s the time to enter! If you’ve friends thinking about, it’s time to persuade them! And finally, even if neither of those apply to you, we’d really appreciate you sharing this post anywhere pertinent 😁
It’s all go here in Fellsmanland. Bookings are being finalised, details tweaked, and the long haul of the prep for the actual weekend begins….
With that in mind, if you have already entered please take a moment to check your arrangements…
There are limited camping spaces in our new camping field at Threshfield, and it is also possible to park camper vans etc in our Quarry car park alongside the cars – both the field and the quarry car park will have portaloos. There will be NO VEHICLE ACCESS to the camping field, and regular shuttle buses will run from the car park as needed. If you haven’t booked camping space and need to, please get in touch. There will be no indoor sleeping in the school this year.
If you are planning on using our coach service from Threshfield on Saturday morning, please make sure you have booked and paid for it. You can do this as an extra through our website, under the ‘Adding Extras to an Existing Entry’ tab. To enable us to book the correct number of coaches, we’d appreciate you doing this by MONDAY 26th April – thank you in advance.
Meals are available at Threshfield Friday evening (pasta bake) and Saturday Morning (porridge / butties) – these also need booking and paying for in advance, so if you could also check your requirements for these before Monday 26th that would be grand.
Please note – we are NOT SENDING OUT ANY MAIL PRE EVENT…. Those of you who have requested a ‘hard copy’ of the handbook will be given this at registration. Please note it is a very minimal handbook this year, mostly containing event info only. Race numbers, trackers, tallies etc will be distributed at the start.
And finally, this post wouldn’t be a Fellsman post if it didn’t have a plea for staffing tagged on the end! We’re always short of staff, particularly at the start at Ingleton on Saturday morning (6am!) and at Threshfield for the duration of the event, with a few checkpoint bodies not going amiss. So, if you’re not up to running it, but would love to be involved, or your partner /friend/s will be coming along and they fancy helping whilst waiting for you to return, please, get in touch!! We are a not-for-profit event, run solely by volunteers, and rely on the good will of like-minded souls to put this event on. I look forward to hearing from some of you….
I think that’s enough for now. You can reach us through the email address firstname.lastname@example.org – see you all soon…
